I'm following the Daily UI Design Challenge, which is a series of daily Design Challenge prompts, delivered via e-mail. The goal is to improve skills and build a UI portfolio.
So far, I've developed all my project with a single client in mind: Paws'R'Us, the pretend company I've been doing all the pieces for. They are an online based pet store that focuses on pawy animals.
For expediency sake, I used the Pawtastic UI Kit provided with the design hint for day 1. I'm also thinking that I'll develop all - or most of - the prompts based on this "compawny".
I have no intention of keeping up with daily practice, because I understand that kind of commitment is beyond my time availability at the moment. The main goal here is to actually complete all the challenges, improve my UI and Adobe XD skills and build up my UI portfolio. And that is a lot considering my overloaded plate right now.
I am sharing the results on my Dribbble.com account, as instructed on the sign up information. As my account is a basic one, I can only share 1 shot at a time, so I am recording the whole process here and the single shot there.
This is a diary of the process.
#11.Flash messages
Design Hint...
Design a Flash Message with both the outcome for an error and success. Is it for a sign up form? A download/upload message?
For this hint, I added Flash messages to the existing credit card page.
#12.E-Commerce Shop (Single Item)
Design Hint...
Design an e-commerce shop. Is it simple for a local business or a large online retailer? Is it for clothing, shoes, handmade soap, or something else? Consider the brand, the products offered, product views, product options, desired actions (conversions, product views, etc.) and the users!
For this prompt, I developed a shop page for the services provided by Paws'R'Us.
#13.Direct Messaging
Design Hint...
Design a Direct Messaging app, profile, or chatbox. Consider the parties involved in the messages, images, placement, and context of the messages. Are the messages for social purposes? Customer support?
#14.Countdown Timer
Design Hint...
Design a Countdown Timer. Is it for an app? An interface for an oven? A sport related countdown? A launch countdown for NASA?
#15.On/Off Switch
Design Hint...
Design an On/Off Switch. Consider what's being turned on/off and how it should be done
